i'm guilty of giving and taking some bad advice on a few occasions - that's why when someone asks me for some, i'll ask them, "are you sure?" then i unload on them and they're not so quick to ask again.
advice is a sticky thing. i'll usually only ask a few people for their viewpoint on a particular matter and make up my own mind.

It's easy to give advice, but listening, that's something entirely different. It's too easy to block out the things we don't want to hear
Even we adults can be guilty of it, especially we adults!
